This course is designing to give students further knowledge into the subject. The areas of work we’ll be covering gives students the foundation on which you build upon, in order to produce work art pieces which are personal and individually relevant.
Ryburn Sixth strives to provide students with the knowledge and with a developed sense of confidence not only for their work and ability but for themselves.
Many of the worlds’ jobs are art based, fast-paced and competitive so we want our students to be ready. By providing our students with the opportunity to experience the field through trips and experiences such as the observational drawing. Our resources enable our students to learn and develop their existing knowledge and to learn how to carry that through into their future.

Art and Design is a creative and expressive subject that is highly valued by employers and universities across creative industries and beyond. Studying the subject develops essential visual literacy, technical skills and design thinking required for careers in the arts, design and creative sectors. You will also gain valuable transferable skills such as creativity, visual communication, problem solving, project management and attention to detail that are highly sought after across a wide range of degree programmes beyond Art and Design.
Past students have progressed to study diverse courses including fine art, graphic design, illustration, fashion design, photography, architecture, interior design, animation, product design, textile design, art history and media production.
