Mental health:
Individuals and Society
Why study an AAQ in Mental Health: Individuals and Society?
Mental health is one of the most pressing topics of our time. From the pressures of social media to global issues like isolation, identity, and wellbeing, understanding mental health is vital for individuals and communities alike.
Studying the AAQ in Mental Health: Individuals and Society gives you the opportunity to explore how our minds work, how society influences mental wellbeing, and how we can challenge stigma and promote positive change.
You’ll explore the history and evolution of attitudes toward mental health, learning how social, cultural, and medical ideas have shaped the way we talk about and treat mental illness today. You’ll consider how issues such as inequality, environment, education, and relationships influence mental wellbeing — and how individuals and communities can work together to support better outcomes.
